REALTOR® Association Leadership Events

Volunteer Leadership Training Program
This interactive leadership program is designed for presidents-elect and executive officers and focuses on building leadership skills and strengthening and enhancing their partnership.This one-day program is held every year just prior to the August Leadership Summit. Leadership Summit 
This annual meeting brings incoming local and state president/AE leadership teams together for a full day of issue updates and collective brainstorming, to unify the organization's message for the incoming year. Click here to access the Leadership Summit site.

Leadership Conference
This conference for local and state president and executive officer leadership teams is held every year in conjunction with NAR's REALTORS® Conference and Expo. The November program will fall under NAR’s new Entrepreneurial Excellence Series (EES). AEs and presidents/presidents-elect will be exposed to higher-caliber keynote speakers who will present topics that can be applied to the leadership of their associations and/or real estate businesses. Leadership Express
A program presented in conjunction with NAR's Midyear Governance Meetings that provides leadership and industry issues information to help local and state president/EO leadership teams effectively fulfill their leadership role. The new format will consist of three 40-minute sessions scheduled concurrently and then repeated. Topics will focus on timely issues, initiatives, and practical “how to” information. State and Board Leadership Forums
Offered at each of the two national meetings, while presidents and EOs often attend the State and Board Leadership Forums together, presidents-elect are also encouraged to attend. The forums are structured according to association membership size so presidents can exchange ideas and information with other presidents of like-size associations. In addition, the forums provide presidents with the opportunity to convey grassroots concerns to national association leaders who attend and respond to questions from forum members. *Leadership Forum Breakout: The following explains which subforum breakout you and your EO should attend.

Large State Subforum: The 17 largest state associations, based on total membership

Medium State Subforum: The next 17 largest state associations, based on total membership

Small State Subforum: The remaining 16 state associations, and Washington, D.C., Guam, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands.

Large Board Subforum: Boards with 2,000 or more members

Medium Board Subforum: Boards with 500 to 1,999 members

Small Board Subforum: Boards with fewer than 500 members

State and Local Presidents & President-Elects Roundtable:
Offered at each of the two national meetings, these leadership roundtables focus on a variety of local and state topics in an informal setting to encourage information exchange and networking. [May 14, 2004, Washington, D.C.] Contact: Laurie Oken, 312-329-8307.

Leadership Luncheon
Sponsored by the RCE Certification Board, this ticketed luncheon held at each national meeting features keynote speakers on industry issues. The luncheon also provides an opportunity to recognize RCE designees and offers greater visibility for the designation to volunteer leaders. [May and November] Contact: Laurie Oken, 312-329-8307.
