-- June 16, 2008: NAR DOJ Settlement
NAR General Counsel Laurie Janik provided a detail overview of NAR's settlement of the antitrust lawsuit brought by the U.S. Department of Justice. The settlement agreement concludes the two year DOJ investigation, followed by two and one half years of litigation, regarding NAR's multiple listing policy as it pertains to the display of listings from the MLS on brokers' virtual office Web sites (VOWs).

This informative one-hour conference call and Webinar provided a sneak preview of the recommendations that the AEC NRDS Policies Work Group was to present to the Association Executives Committee at the 2007 REALTORS® Conference & Expo meeting in Las Vegas. Recommendations focus on the following areas: core and non-required NRDS fields, NRDS policies, technology requirements for data integration, and communication and education. The Webinar featured Travis Kessler, NRDS Policies Work Group chair and NAR staff.
