That senseless terrorist attack on American soil in 2001 changed our lives forever. We felt anguish; we mourned; we searched for answers and, with time, gathered the strength to move forward. The Sept. 11 attacks tested the limits of our strength, compassion and resolve. And, as a nation, we discovered we have no limits. This is readily apparent in the selflessness and courage of the REALTOR® family.

The REALTOR.org 9/11 Remembrance site is dedicated to all the REALTORS® who gave so generously of themselves in the wake of the attacks. Both collectively and as individuals, REALTORS® came to the aid of those in need and provided both monetary and spiritual support. From the REALTOR® Housing Relief Fund, which provided mortgage and rent assistance to more than 1,300 families of victims, to individual feats of heroism by REALTORS® throughout the country, this site stands in remembrance -- and reverence -- of the efforts of REALTORS® everywhere.

The material below was collected in remembrance of the first anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks. It remains a poignant reminder of the tragedy and the generosity of those who contributed to relief efforts.

We've gathered a number of these stories and accounts and consolidated them into the online REALTOR.org "9/11 Remembrance Scrapbook."  Please take a moment to browse through the scrapbook.
