December Existing-Home Sales Show Uptrend
WASHINGTON (January 20, 2011) ––Existing-home sales continued on an uptrend in December, rising for three consecutive months and remaining above a year ago.

Next release: Existing-Home Sales for January 2012 will be released on February 22, 2012, 10am ET.
The NAR Public Affairs Office issues a news release on or near the 25th of each month with the latest existing-home sales figures. The releases include analysis and quotes by NAR's Chief Economist Lawrence Yun regarding the sales volume, prices, inventory and interest rates.

The NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® Existing-Home Sales Series is the premier measurement of the residential real estate market. On or about the 25th of each month, NAR releases statistics on sales and prices of existing single-family homes for the nation and the four regions. These figures include condos and co-ops, in addition to single-family homes. Updated each month, these reports are available free of charge in two formats — PDF for easy viewing and printing and Excel for database work.
