Practitioners are asked about their expectations for home sales, prices and market conditions. In addition, the "Questions of the Month," feature results of a timely aspect of the housing market. |
December 2011 Highlights
The REALTORS® Confidence Index for single-family home sales as reported in the December report increased to 31.6 from last month's level of 30.4. The index was higher compared to last year's conditions, when it registered at 24.5. The index for townhouses was 18.5 in December, slightly down from last month's 18.7. The index for condos also decreased to 14.3 from November's 15.3. Both the townhouse index and condo index registered at higher values compared to last year's 12.6 and 10.3, respectively.
