State Mortgage Conditions

NAR Research is working to bring NAR members more locally relevant information. This report provides a brief overview of the conditions in the mortgage market for 2009. Based on NAR estimates, 32 percent of homeowners nationwide own a debt-free home. Compared with 2008, the number of loans serviced is down, while loans in foreclosures are on the rise.
