Resort and Second-Home Markets Course

The Resort and Second-Home Markets Course is the core course you must take in order to obtain the Resort and Second-Home Property Specialist Certification. This one-day course focuses on the knowledge and skill base that real estate professionals need to specialize in buying, selling, or managing second homes in a resort, recreational, and/or vacation destination and for properties for investment, development, or retirement by U.S. and international clients and customers in the United States.

  • Resort and second-home customers, clients, and properties
  • Working with affluent or international buyers and sellers
  • Building your business
  • Overcoming bad publicity and disasters
  • Tax and investment
  • Regulatory matters

  • Be prepared to act when laws, directly affecting your business, are scheduled to change
  • Make the best use of your marketing dollars
  • How to handle the media—rather than it handling you

This course can be credited towards the following designations or certifications:

ABR; CIPS; CRS; PMN; SRES; AHWD; RSPS

The course can be taken online or in the classroom.
