Moe Veissi
Maurice "Moe" Veissi, a REALTOR® from Miami, Fla., is the 2012 president of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS®.Veissi, a REALTOR® for more than 40 years, is broker-owner of Veissi & Associates Inc., in Miami, and specializes in land acquisition.
Veissi served as the 2008 Political Fundraising Chair for the REALTORS® Political Action Committee. He also served on the Strategic Investment Reserve Advisory Board for NAR as well as a regional vice president for Region V in 2005. Veissi has served on NAR's Board of Directors since 1999 as well as on numerous NAR committees.The Florida Association of REALTORS® (F.A.R) elected Veissi president in 2002. Over the years, he has had the opportunity to chair most of the association's committees. F.A.R. named Veissi "REALTOR® of the Year" in 2003.On the local level, Veissi served as president of the REALTOR® Association of Greater Miami and The Beaches in 1981.

Lawrence Yun
Lawrence Yun is Chief Economist and Senior Vice President of Research at the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® . He directs research activity for the association and regularly provides commentary on real estate market trends for its 1 million REALTOR® members. Dr. Yun creates NAR's forecasts and participates in many economic forecasting panels, including Blue Chip and the Harvard University Industrial Economist Council. He appears regularly on financial news outlets and is a frequent speaker at real estate conferences throughout the United States. In 2008, USA Today listed him among the top 10 economic forecasters in the country.
Dr. Yun has been with the REALTORS® since the year 2000. Prior to that, he worked as an economic consultant to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and the U.S. Department of Education. From 1995 to 1998, while a research associate at the University of Maryland, he was based in the former Soviet Union where he developed economics programs at several universities to help in the transition from communism to a market based economy.
Dr. Yun received his undergraduate degree from Purdue University and earned his Ph.D. from the University of Maryland at College Park.

Duane Parrish
Duane Parrish is the Director for the South Carolina Department of Parks, Recreation & Tourism (SCPRT). Parrish has dedicated over 35 years of his professional career to the hospitality industry, including extensive experience in hotel property management and development throughout South Carolina. He was appointed to his current cabinet position by Governor Nikki R. Haley in January 2011.

He is the author of "Power Marketing for Luxury Real Estate" and a pamphlet for agents to give homeowners, "Getting the Highest Price" as well as "Winning Listing Presentations," a booklet for listing agents. He is also writing "Global Connections: Marketing Homes Internationally."
David has listed, marketed, sold, or consulted on some of the most prestigious properties in the world, including Sunny and Claus von Bulow's "Clarendon Court" in Newport, Rhode Island (see cover of book); Basia John's Italian home, "Villa Beata"; the 60-acre Roosevelt family estate in Cove Neck, New York; the Schlumberger family's palace in Sintra, Portugal; and "Sunninghill Farm" in Upper Brookville, New York, home to the owners of Triple Crown winner Seattle Slew and Slew of Gold.
He has been a media spokesperson on international matters for the National Association of Realtors (NAR) and has chaired NAR's International Operations Committee. He was also named by NAR "Instructor of the Year" for the Certified International Property Specialist designation (CIPS) and one of the "Top Ten Realtors" in the United States by Today's Realtor magazine.

Melanie J. McLane
Melanie J. McLane is a well-rounded generalist with extensive experience not only in all facets of real estate, but all facets of education, from course development to presentation. In November 2008, Melanie was inducted into the REBAC Hall of Fame as a trainer.
She is a certified appraiser, licensed associate broker, and seasoned real estate educator. A veteran of 34 years in the real estate industry, she has owned and operated a real estate brokerage, taught everything from pre-licensing through designation courses, and continues to practice as both an appraiser and an associate broker. Her "hands on" experience leads to classes with students who learn and come back for more.

Russell W. Riggs
Russell W. Riggs is the Government Affairs Liaison for NAR's Resort Committee and the Senior Regulatory Representative for NAR. For over 15 years, Russell has engaged Congress and federal regulatory agencies, such as the EPA and FEMA, on issues impacting the resort real estate community, as well as issues related to property rights, the environment, natural resources, energy, land use and insurance. Prior to his position at NAR, Russell held positions with the Department of Energy, the Council of State Governments, the National Governors Association and the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection. Russell has a Bachelors degree in Political Science from Virginia Commonwealth University, a Masters in Public Policy from Tufts University, and a Masters in Public Administration from New York University. Russell resides in Falls Church, VA with his wife and two children.

Jason is an IT professional who has been working in system administration and security since 1997. He's worked in the hospital sector, and for two Fortune 500 companies. He has been with NAR, working on the Infrastructure Team for the past three years.

Ronald Phipps
Ronald Phipps, a REALTOR® from Warwick, RI, is the 2012 immediate past president of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS®. Phipps, a REALTOR® for 32 years, is principal broker of Phipps Realty Inc. in Warwick, RI, specializing in residential brokerage. At the national level, Phipps served as president-elect in 2010 and as first vice president in 2009. He has been a national director since 2000. He was a 2006 presidential liaison for Housing and Diversity. In 2004, Ron was the presidential liaison for Information, Education and Conventions. Phipps' accomplishments include Operation Home Delivery, NAR's and Habitat International's joint venture to build 54 homes in the Gulf region for Katrina victims.
