JUSTIN WHITWORTH

Whitworth isn’t one to shy away from a challenge. When his college fund was wiped out by the stock market fall after Sept. 11, 2001, he worked two jobs to pay tuition at Texas A&M. Today the Aggie graduate brings that same determination and optimism to real estate. He focuses heavily on FSBOs in specific farm areas he visits daily, but “I’ve sold everything from a $36,000 condominium to a $4 million apartment complex,” he says. What one client termed his “polite aggression” enabled Whitworth to close more than $19 million in sales and 93 transaction sides in 2006.

Political aspirations: A political science major, Whitworth is a member of the Bryan-College Station Board of REALTORS® Political Action Committee. He interviews candidates about their positions on issues affecting home owners. His latest political foray was an unsuccessful run for the city council. “Even though I lost the bid, it was a great learning experience,” he says.

Gotta have faith: Although his work ethic has enabled him to quickly build a business and an investment portfolio of 19 properties, Whitworth gives credit first to God: “I’m strong in my faith and a traditional person. I believe that if you embrace the Lord, family, and friends every day, God will provide for you.”
