| Stu Siegel Vice President, Dominion Enterprises Founder, eNeighborhoods | |
It is with great pride that eNeighborhoods participates as the founding sponsor of the Good Neighbor Awards. A few years back, I was approached by REALTOR® Magazine and the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® to get involved in founding this program. I immediately saw a unique opportunity to be involved with something that could be very special. It has been quite fulfilling to be able to personally award these special people who have done truly heroic deeds for their neighborhoods. More important for me, we have been able to showcase the accomplishments of these REALTORS®, setting them out as examples of the impact that individuals can have on our society. Several of the past recipients have even starred in television commercials for NAR’s Public Awareness campaign, showing the best side of what REALTORS® are capable of. What excites me the most is the thought that other REALTORS® can be inspired by the Good Neighbors and get involved in some form of local community service. Just think about it, community service is 100% aligned with the interests of REALTORS®, who are some of this nation’s most gregarious people and whose businesses can be directly enhanced by such community involvement. From my perspective, it takes more than money to improve our society; it takes an army of people who are willing to give of themselves to their neighbors. I can’t think of a better army (with complete coverage in every neighborhood coast-to-coast) than the 1.3 million members of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS®! | |
