Mortgage Rates Move Up
The average rate on long-term mortgages rose for the first time in six weeks, once again moving borrowing costs above the 6-percent threshold.
Freddie Mac reported that 30-year fixed mortgages averaged 6.06 percent this week--up from 5.98 percent last week, when rates fell below 6 percent for the first time since the end of April.
