Daily Real Estate News  |  October 7, 2008  |   Go Mobile With Your Listings
There are a number of new services designed for mobile devices that identify homes for sale in close proximity to the user.
  • Realtor.com offers a downloadable "Homes Near By" tool for iPhones that will pinpoint listings within 10 miles of the user's current location.
  • Terabitz offers an iPhone application that provides MLS listings and recent sales data, among other information.
  • Trulia Mobile for iPhones and other smartphones make it possible to locate nearby listings and open houses without knowing the address.
  • Listings from the MLS and Google Base database are located for iPhone users via Alexander Mobile's Home Finder application.

Experts say these applications mark the early phases of the mobile real estate trend, and vendors are taking steps to enhance such tools.
