Daily Real Estate News  |  May 22, 2009  |   Lawsuit Says Eviction Will Hurt Neighborhood
Supporters of a woman facing eviction from her Minneapolis home filed a lawsuit this week, claiming that if she is forced out that her home will become a nuisance property.

Attorneys for Rosemary Williams filed the suit in Hennepin County District Court in an attempt to compel GMAC Mortgage LLC to stop eviction proceedings.

Attorney Jordon Kushner said lawyers the Central Area Neighborhood Development Organization and 17 of Williams’ neighbors are plaintiffs in the suit. Kushner said it was a novel legal approach that might work.

Representative of GMAC weren’t available respond.
