Good Neighbor Awards The Good Neighbor Awards recognize REALTORS® who've made an extraordinary commitment to improving the quality of life in their communities through volunteer work. Five winners each year receive $10,000 grants for their cause. 2009 Finalists Announced in August.

2009 Volunteering Works Winners Announced
REALTOR® Magazine’s Good Neighbor Society has launched a new program, Volunteering Works, which provides a $1,000 grant and a year of mentoring to real estate practitioners who want to take their charity projects to the next level.

2000 Good Neighbor Award winner Oral Lee Brown was in the spotlight again on Wednesday, May 31. During its goodbye tribute to Katie Couric, the “Today” show recalled Couric's interview with Brown as part of a look back at six “ordinary people with extraordinary courage.”
