GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS FOR FLASH ADS

• RealtorMag.REALTOR.org allows Flash versions 11 or 10; but recommends saving down to version 10.
• For best results, we recommend having the button encompass the entire ad area throughout the entire timeline. Buttons must have the clickTAG expression (see below) in place of embedded URLs.
• The clickTAG expression must be attached to a button object and called onRelease.

• Do not embed any URLs in the Flash file—include linking URLs in an e-mail or other document.
• Make sure the dimensions of the movie meet the specs for the ad you are creating. Objects or animation may not extend past the banner dimensions.
• Preferred frame rate is 12-24 frames per second. Rate may not exceed 24 frames per second. Banners that exceed 24 frames per second will not be accepted due to performance considerations.
• All Flash ads must be accompanied by an alternate image (GIF or JPG) of the same dimensions. Images must meet the file size specs for that ad size.
• Loading files from cross domains is not permitted for security reasons.
• Preferred file delivery is through a URL

ADVERTISING GUIDELINES

RealtorMag.REALTOR.org reserves the right to accept, retract, or reject any advertisement at any time.
Online ad materials must be received by the material due date. If material is not ready for the start of the ad campaign, position may be lost, insertion term reduced, or advertiser shall be billed for page impressions generated while material is pending.

• Creative must have a distinct border to clearly identify where the page ends, and the advertisement begins.
• Creative must have branding and match ad size • No fake HTML or simulated interactivity (a maximum of 5 linking URL’s can be used in each HTML creative)
• No obscene or otherwise objectionable images
• Creative cannot use the REALTOR® name or logo without pre-approval from REALTOR® Magazine
• Ads must confirm to specifications outlined herein. Elements not meeting specifications will be returned for revision, which may delay the launch date
• Standard creative must be submitted 4 business days prior to campaign launch or campaign launch may be delayed. Rich Media ads (Flash) must be submitted 5 business days prior to launch to enable thorough testing
• 3rd party tags must be live at the time of submission to enable thorough testing before launch
• Advertisements cannot mislead the user. For example, they may not mimic or resemble Windows/Mac/Unix dialogue boxes, error messages, or the like.
• Advertisements cannot resemble RealtorMag.REALTOR.org content. Ads must have a distinct border or a highly contrasting background to clearly identify where the ad ends and the page begins.
