As U.S. foreclosures continue to rise—filings jumped nearly 30 percent in February from a year earlier, according to RealtyTrac—the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® is seeking out new ways to address the crisis.
NAR has introduced a Foreclosure Prevention and Response Program, which provides grants to help state and local REALTOR® associations develop coordinated plans of action to prevent foreclosures and respond to their adverse affects.
Associations may use the funds for any new activity that addresses the foreclosure crisis, including specialized training programs for REALTORS®. Download an application, access an online tool kit, and learn more about the program at REALTOR.org/government_affairs/foreclosure_prevention.
