Acer’s second-generation netbook is offered with Windows XP Home edition. Standard features include a 1.6 GHz Atom Processor, 1 GB of memory, a 10.1 inch display, a 160 GB hard drive, a multi-card reader, and a built-in webcam. The unit measures 10.2 x 8 x 1.31 inches and weighs approximately 2.2 pounds. A version with an 8.9 inch screen is also available.

Lenovo’s entry netbook includes Windows XP Home edition and has a 10.2 inch display with an integrated Webcam. It includes the 1.6 GHz Atom Processor, 512 MB RAM, and 80 GB hard drive. A security feature called Lenovo Veriface uses face-recognition technology to prevent unauthorized access to the system and contents. It measures 9.8 x 7.2 x 1.1 inches and weighs 2.43 pounds.

This model has a 10.2 inch screen and a keyboard 93 percent the size of standard, full-sized versions. It measures 10.7 x 7.3 x 1.9 inches and weighs 2.8 pounds.
