NAR Honors Students for Winning School-of-the-Future Designs (May 2) The national awards ceremony of the School of the Future Awards Program was held today at the National Building Museum, culminating a week of activities in Washington with the six regional winning teams of middle school students from across the country. This was the third year that NAR partnered with the Council of Educational Facilities Planners International (CEFPI) to hold this national competition. New Survey on Growth Released Three-fourths of Americans believe that improving public transportation and building smarter development are better long-term solutions for reducing traffic congestion than building roads. New Reports on Blight Statutes and Dealing with Eminent Domain Reform NAR and Robinson and Cole, LLP developed two reports that provide a review of blight statutes, trace the origins of state blight legislation, analyze the blight statutes in all 50 states, and identify seven issues that need to be addressed for meaningful reform of blight statutes as they relate to eminent domain.
