Outreach Initiative

Let the Center for REALTOR® Technology be your technology consultant. CRT offers IT professionals at REALTOR® organizations free advice on technology selection and implementation through the CRT Outreach Initiative. The CRT program will assist you in evaluating and comparing hardware and software alternatives and show how emerging technologies and industry standards can be put to practical business use.

The program includes support on reference implementations for initiating the use of advanced technologies. Also, CRT works in an open source environment, so it can often provide or recommend technology alternatives at a much lower cost than commercial vendors.

The Center for REALTOR® Technology is also happy to work with state or local associations or REALTOR® organizations to speak on timely and informative technology subjects. To date, CRT members have spoken at more than 25 REALTOR® events. Topics you may want to consider and CRT has covered include:

CRT does not endorse any products and generally does not speak on a single application. It is not CRT's intent to serve in lieu of application education. It's role is to serve as a technology observer, advisor, and advocate and that is the focus of our presentations.

To aid our scheduling, we request a two-month lead for engagements. This will also allow us to minimize travel and lodging expenses, which we request be paid by the engaging organization. Because of the volume of requests and our small staff size, it is not always possible for CRT to accept each invitation. We look forward to working with you.

CRT members speak at state and local REALTOR® meetings on technology security.

Gain insight on regulatory issues and areas that must be addressed to effectively manage IT security. Learn how to protect yourself, your business assets and your customer's personal information.
