To Make Internet Advertising More Effective:

Create descriptive titles--licensed residential salesperson versus sales. Web job seekers often surf by category and job title so using descriptive titles will likely yield more candidate viewings.

Write clear descriptions of the position. Most Internet job sites will allows unlimited job descriptions without extra per line costs.

Choose your key words carefully. Most general job sites include categories you can choose from to place your ad appropriately and key words prospects might use when searching for a match.

Accommodate long-distance candidates. Internet ads reach candidates in other states and countries. Mention relocation expense reimbursement, help finding a home in the community, and whether you'll sponsor candidates on a work visa.

Include contact info. Indicate your preferred method of contact—e-mail, fax, or phone—and link ads to your Web Site so candidates can learn more about your company.
