Web Sites for Buyer’s Representation

Americandemographics.com, the well-known site for marketers is a great place to stay abreast of the latest demographic buying trends. Although not focused primarily on real estate, it will give you some great general insights.

BidYourMove.com provides an effective means through which you can aid customers in lowering their relocation costs. The Priceline.com of shipping, the site allows customers to submit bids for their move.

Homestore.com offers one-stop-shopping for buyers, with everything from listings (via REALTOR.COM) to movers, financing, neighborhood demographics, and even shopping and recipe options to make your new house a home.

Homes.wsj.com is keyed to the top-of-the line buyers, with relocation advice, in-depth city profiles, and “select offerings of distinctive properties,” as well as standard homebuyer options such as financing, remodeling, and lawn and garden care. The School Report helps you assess the quality of schools in the neighborhood via SAT scores, teacher ratios, and class size.

Infospace.com is another site with city guide information that will help out-of-town buyers. Items range from cable and utility providers to restaurants and golf courses.

Monsterdaata’s neighborhoodplace.com is a vast demographic site to help you find the perfect place to live. Features include cost of living calculators and information on schools and neighborhoods.

Moving.com is the place to send buyers (and sellers) once the deal is underway. Whether it’s boxes, moving companies, or storage, this site will make the move less painful.
