  2 MARKETING PLANSMADE EVEN BETTER

The well-known industry consultant, Danielle Kennedy, lent her expertise to REALTOR® Magazine Online by reviewing two outstanding marketing campaigns. Use this "workshop" to enhance your promotions.

Kennedy reviewed materials submitted by practitioners Patrick Cowne of Cowne, Odend'hal and Plaster Real Estate in Chantilly, Va., and B.J. Adams of B.J. Adams and Co., in Snowmass, Colo.

Cowne has spent as much as $30,000 a year to purchase marketing materials through Hobbs/Herder Advertising. He's used direct-mail pieces, half-page newspaper ads, and billboards to get his name out.

Adams believes in a personal touch and sends newsletters regularly to her customers and contacts. She also uses full- and half-page newspaper ads, and has created a local guide to her market area, Roaring Fork Valley. The guide includes maps, information about the area, and a guide to buying real estate in the valley.
